     St. Mark Lutheran Church is a mainline church with a difference: we still believe that the Bible is the true and inerrant Word of God.  In a day when many churches are compromising with the world and following after the gods of this age, St. Mark’s commitment to the historic teachings of the Christian faith stands out.  If you are hungry for the Word of God and eager to learn how Biblical teaching relates to your everyday life, St. Mark may be the church for you.

      
    At St. Mark, we believe in the Holy Trinity – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  We believe that all people are sinners in need of God’s grace.  And we believe that the greatest expression of God’s grace and love can be found in the death of Jesus Christ on the cross.  The cross is at the center of everything that we do at St. Mark.  Through the death and resurrection of Jesus, God offers us forgiveness of sins and eternal life.  We receive these gifts through faith.  And in thankfulness for these gifts, we seek to live our lives according to his Word.

 

     At St. Mark we understand that worship is essential for every Christian.   In worship, we strengthen our personal relationship with Jesus Christ and we also learn to live in community with other believers.  Therefore, we offer both traditional and contemporary worship services every weekend, as well as special weeknight services during Advent and Lent.

 

     The Bible says, “You are loved with an everlasting love,” and “underneath are the everlasting arms.”  At St. Mark we teach the truths of the Bible, we proclaim the love of God, and we strive to create a warm family atmosphere in worship.  We are not a typical mainline church – and we never will be.
